TBILISI STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

Tbilisi State Medical University or Tbilisi State University (TSMU) is the main center of higher medical education in Georgia, with a history of nearly a hundred years. In fact, higher medical education in Georgia is about the same age as well. It is noteworthy to emphasize that thousands of TSMU graduates continue their careers in many leading clinics and institutions in Georgia, Europe and the world as a whole.

TSMU is a full member of the European Education Zone which means its active participation in the work of this educational system, setting directions for development and implementation, and establishing free and close scientific and academic relationships with educational, scientific and clinical centers around the world.

The increased attractiveness of TSMU from 72 countries to more than 2,500 international students can be considered a clear evidence of the international recognition of Tbilisi State Medical University. This means that every third student at TSMU is an international student.

• A copy of the proof of nationality document (passport);
• A copy of the document proving the completion of general secondary education acquired abroad or its equivalent;

• A receipt confirming payment of the fee
• All documents should be scanned and converted to PDF format.
• All documents must be translated into Georgian and properly notarized. An application containing missing documents will not be accepted.

Note : If the applicant is a minor (under the age of 18), a copy of the birth certificate, copies of the parents’ passports and an attorney’s letter (approval of registration) must also be sent to one of the parents on the applicant’s birth certificate. The attorney’s letter must be a document stating the consent of a parent for his / her child to live and study abroad for some time.

After verification of the submitted documents, an online video interview is conducted with a student with the purpose of checking English language proficiency and creating a video recording. The recorded interview with the applicant is applied during the registration procedures in state institutions and border crossing.

The applicant will receive an official, electronic confirmation upon the commencement of the registration-related events at the university after the completion of all the above-mentioned procedures.

• Register applicants for the spring semester (classes will start – March 2021)
• Registering applicants for the fall semester (studies will start – October 2021)
